A fun out-and-back canyon ride along the Blacksmith Fork River with a good mix of up and down in each direction.

Overview

Description

Cross the service bridge and immediately turn left (east). Ride the doubletrack around behind the CCC Campground and continue onto the singletrack.

The trail tracks along the south side of the river winding through brush, over rock slides, and through grassy vales. At 1.9 miles, the trail empties into a large pullout. Continue straight through and find the trail running between the road and the hillside.

The trail has a short, steep climb up the hill through the trees and then continues to another pullout at 2.2 miles. Stay right and ride through the second pullout on the doubletrack up to the gate. At 2.5 miles, the trail forks. Both trails meet back up at 2.8 miles, so take your pick.

The trail continues on and (currently) stops at a game fence at 3.8 miles.

Such a beautiful trail. My GPS gave me 985 ft of elevation change. Still it was a fun and manageable trail for even intermediate riders. 8mi

Dry - Major maintenance was completed last week and the upper end is now totally rideable. Thanks to all that helped.
