Snow-dependent. On heavy years, can be closed from November - May. On lighter years, the upper part is closed December-April, but the lower part might be open most of the year.

Description

Completed in 2016, this moderate trail is a great way to reach the Tahoe Rim Trail. About 1/4 of the trail has great views of Lake Tahoe. There are only a few rocky sections: most of the trail is flowy at a moderate grade. It's 55 inches wide and legal for ATV's and dirt bikes (but both are seldom seen on the trail). It's easy to car shuttle.

Rather than starting at the top, most people park at the main parking area at the end of Andria Drive/ N. Benjamin. You then climb for 5-10 minutes up the Tahoe Rim Trail, turn right (north) then intersect the Stinger after a few minutes.
