“An intermediate level of fitness and bike handling skills are required to enjoy this loop.”

Don't be deceived by the shorter distance of this loop as it has a lot of relative elevation gain. The trailhead is as the roadside next to the kampung tamu (open market).
Ride 4km on tarmac to reach a palm oil plantation and Bakam Fire Road
. You'll soon meet the start of a few small climbs then a big one to one of the peaks known locally as bukit panas or "hot hill". The first downhill section is at the 9 km mark. It's a bit loose but manageable. Following that are a few smaller climbs before you reach the summit at the 15 km mark.
About 100 meters from there is a second major 2 km downhill section. Watch out if you are a first timer as it gets loose and quite technical at certain sections. Once you've reached the bottom, it's singletrack on Bakam West Trail
then on the tarmac back to the trailhead.
Remember to bring lots of water and some snacks. Have fun!
