Getting forecast...

A long(ish) loop of (almost) all of the blue and green trails at Curt Gowdy.

David Holshouser

Overview

This ride covers as many of the blue and green trails as possible in a single route. I had to include a few short sections of black trails to connect everything, but its intent is to be as much of Curt Gowdy as possible and as accessible to as many people as possible.
Features: -none-
Dogs: Leashed

Need to Know

I tried the Curt Gowdy State Park - IMBA Epic but it included too many black and double black trails for my friends to enjoy. So I made this as a ride accessible to intermediate riders.

Description

Start at the lowest elevation point and get the climbing out of the way while your legs are fresh.

Take a tour of the Shoreline and campground area on the way up to the Stone Temple Circuit. Round out the northern section with bits of Crow Creek Trail, Albert's Alley, and Mo' Rocka. Then head back south on Granite Ridge and Middle Kingdom to end a nice 20-mile day on Crystal Ridge.

Ken, Wow. Sorry about that. I edited the gps points to remove what I think you mean. It looks like the "Collector" trail is in error. It's marked as a blue on the map, but the satelite overlay doesn't look like a trail exists and it goes straight up some rocks. I built this from mapping tools after I rode another "Featured Ride" and found it lacking. Jun 28, 2017

Thanx for the response David. No worries--it provided quite an adventure:) Yes, the deviation from Mo' Rocka was the Collector trail, which, per the latest trail map I picked up at the visitor center on 6/25/17, is listed as an expert level trail. Jul 1, 2017
are these trails one way or two way? Aug 7, 2017
