This is a ride from the front gate of Camp Casey. A paved road, Machesan Fire Road, leads to the Machesan Trail system that follows along a ridgeline.
Description
The trail begins out the main gate on Camp Casey. You cross the bridge and make a left along a narrow road. A little further up, you'll make another left and start the Machesan Trail.
The loop begins with a tough climb up a paved Machesan Fire Road. This road will eventually turn into a dirt Jeep trail. You'll then continue up to a ridgeline on Machesan Trail that flows up and down for a couple of miles. From there, you can either turn around at any nice viewpoint and ride the trail back or continue along Machesan Trail and down another road.
Wet, with small pockets of standing water. The decent is overgrown and littered with washouts.
