Description

This trail section starts at a gated entrance off of Jennings Creek Rd. You'll cross a large wooden bridge and then prepare for a long, grassy road climb. Towards the top, the trail bares right into the woods, onto a steep singletrack section with even more climbing. Eventually, it will turn into a short ridge ride and then a flowy descent that ends at a creek crossing.

There's a short climb up the other side, and go straight across the gravel road to continue on the horse trail through the gate for another doubletrack climb, looking for the signage and orange blazes which are present all the way to the Blue Ridge Parkway. This will take you all the way to the intersection with the A.T. near Cornelius Creek Shelter and the BRP will be to the right.
