A fun, cross-country ride that was rebuilt and reborn after major flooding damage.

Overview

Flooding in 2011 weakened the trees around the trail. Use caution and avoid the area during storms or high winds.
Family Friendly: Kids will enjoy the easy pedaling and views of the Missouri River and lots of deer and wildlife.
Dogs: Leashed

Description

The Lake Manawa State Park Mountain Bike Trail is located below the southwest edge of the lake. The trailhead is marked by signs and located near the Missouri River boat ramp area and parking.

The current trail was redesigned and rebuilt almost completely from the ground up after flooding in 2011. Both the west and east sections of the trail are open and expansions are continuing. The trail is mostly flat singletrack with some areas of sand, a few tree roots, and some quick corners.

This is an excellent area for newer riders or for someone looking for a casual cross-country trail. It's also a great trail in the winter for snow riding.
