This is an informal and unmarked, yet legal, trail within Michaux State Forest. This trail, and others that are nearby, are currently under assessment by the land manager toward a more static and stewarded trail system. Cutting a new trail or re-routing is considered illegal. As such, do not cut new trails without approval, observe potential future trail closings and official re-routing, and minimize your impact while riding. Avoid riding during PA hunting seasons.

Description

The first half of the trail is intermediate to easy, but halfway through becomes very technical and rocky. At about the halfway mark, you'll encounter a relatively large outcrop of quartzite where the trail is threaded along the cliff face.

After this, it is mostly rock garden until you reach doubletrack, at which point you'll go left and uphill back toward Ridge Road.
