Mountain biking, hiking, and trail running only. No horses or motorized travel of any kind allowed. DO NOT USE TRAILS WHEN WET!

Description

Part of the MOPAC trail system, this is generally an easy trail which is part of a "nested loop" of three trails on the north end of the system. The trail initially branches off Blood, Sweat, and Ticks before winding its way west and northward.

The trail reconnects with Blood, Sweat, and Ticks in a spot and then again with Blood, Sweat, and Ticks and Lake Shore Drive where private land narrows trail options. This trail is fairly easy the entire length and would be a good trail for beginners to get their feet wet mountain biking.

This trail, while furthest "inland" of the three northern trails, is quite peaceful as you feel buried deep in the woods at times.

The beginning of the "Bone Yard," which is about the last 0.25 miles of the BST trail. There's lots of rocks, so it's very technical and fun.

Early on the BST on a brisk March morning, look toward the lake for a pleasant view.
