Muddy - most trails in the park are closed. I did not get a chance to see if they were closed because of recent rains or some other maintenance issues, as I arrived during the night. Low water crossings all had water in them when driving in, so...check before you go, if possible. cJ. History

An easy doubletrack down near the creek.

Description

The Bar-O Trail #2 is a mostly doubletrack running roughly from the park entrance past the main ranch house eventually ending at the main Park Road. As such, it offers an alternative to riding on the park roads, although they certainly are not busy.

This trail is named after the Bar-O Ranch which was donated by Louise Merrick to the state of Texas as the basis for Hill Country State Natural Area.
