The West Trail begins near the horseshoe pits and gazebo and heads into a grove of mostly hardwood trees. There are some short moderate climbs and descents along the fall line, but overall the elevation tends to head moderately upwards. Keep an eye out for a few optional obstacles along the way. Near the end, the West Trail travels through a prairie like clearing before entering back into the trees.
