Description

This trail is very steep. Perhaps the Santa Fe Watershed being so close caused trail builders to have limited options, but the trail almost seems ridiculous in parts.

As a descent, the trail is loose, and quite dangerous. It is nice to have another option off of Alatalya Mountain, but coming down the Atalaya Trail (SFNF #170) is almost more fun as it is simply more rideable.

If you are in for a challenge, however, then this is your trail. Be careful! This trail is probably never ridden as a climb as that would be pure masochism. It does however connect you to the heart of the Dale Ball trail network too so you can continue your ride on nicer, more rideable trails.
