When you hit the Orange Trail - you can really see the coal mine roots of the Ouita Coal Company system. Right off the bat, the trail drops elevation and picks up some fun jumps and a climb through the leftover mine tailings.
You get to rail a berm and climb up an exposed sliver of singletrack that runs along the edge of one of the old pits before dropping back down into a rocky expanse of twisting trail that takes riders out to the lake and marks the point where the trail starts to loop back around towards the start.
