A predominantly forest road ride on the much drier south side of Tenerife

Description

This doubletrack connects the BC-5 Pinares de Vilaflor and BC-4 Pinares de sur y volcanes negros trails. From BC-5 Pinares de Vilaflor, the trail heads downhill towards a large ravine at about 4.5 miles. After the ravine, you'll climb upward towards BC-4 Pinares de sur y volcanes negros.

The character of this trail is similar to others on the southside of the island; sparse vegetation including a few pine trees that offer limited shade. Mostly you'll have the arid landscape and views of the south coast to keep you company.

This is a fairly remote area, so don't expect much traffic and do bring plenty of water!

The trails on the south side of Tenerife offer more open views than north side trails because the forest cover is a lot thinner because of less rainfall
