Description

This is an alternate entrance to the Bauxite trail system that drops you in midway through Murky Marsh. I normally park in the Apison Baptist Church parking lot in the grassy area along the fence then ride 75 feet down the road and turn left into the trail.

There is a small turnaround down the trail where some people park but I would not recommend it. If a car is parked back there it can be hard to turn around.

The first part of the trail is a gravel road. At the cul-de-sac area, you'll go around a gate, and the trail goes into the deep woods and the surface turns into crushed cinder block, dirt, and grass. It's kind of strange but it makes a good riding surface that drains very well.

Once you merge into the trail system, you'll get about nine miles if you ride all segments. To get over 10 miles, you'll need to repeat Pogo's Place or go down Forest Lane Trail and back up Mindbender (or vice versa on the appropriate day).
