Description

Intermediate level trail with lots of narrow singletrack. The trail is well-marked with direction arrows and there are several spots to bail out back to the road if the hills are too much for you. The trailhead is on your left just before the gate to the group camping area. Parking is across the road from the trailhead. You'll be expected to pay the day use fee upon entrance to the state park.

Good for singletrack beginners like me. Lots of places to lose control so look ahead. Some switchbacks go directly into uphill climb so, again, plan. 2.3mi

Great singletrack. It was twisty and fun, not technical. 7.4mi

Nice Trail. Gotta be in shape to climb the hills and have good balance. Not a beginner course.

Did a late afternoon ride with overcast and we simply rode till it rained. Great switchbacks, fast downhills and some long uphills. Watch for ticks.

Trail is now 11 miles of fun. Good soil moisture these days. Trail is fun and drains quickly. Aug 15, 2018
Parking at front gate is convenient to the 2 mile green loop that takes you to the back gate and the 9 mile blue trail. You may park there too, but please remember to pay the park fee at the guard gate just past the levee. Aug 16, 2018
