Description

This trail starts off at Sage Creek and McIntyre Spring Road and heads southwest, climbing a ridge. There is an old Camp Cabin and a spring down off to the north if you want to explore. The water is spring water but I would still recommend filtering it if you intend to drink.

Shortly after the ridge, the trail gets flatter and easier as it comes to a gate. Leave the gate open or closed as you found it. Off to the north is Sheephead Reservoir.

The trail presses on to the west crossing over Long Gulch Road and skirting the southern base of Sheephead Ridge. Continue around Sheephead Ridge and north past some corrals and onto Sheephead Springs in the Sheephead Basin where this trail comes to an end.
