A great singletrack that dries quickly after rain!

Traci Romero

Overview

They dry very quickly and can be ridden usually, within 24 hours of a rain.
Family Friendly: There are some advanced sections but you can walk them. The trail is pretty smooth and rolls well. Lots of climbs but most 10+ years old will be able to make them.

Description

The OC MTB Trails, as in Oyster Creek, offer 5 full miles of singletrack with lots of climbs and descents. It takes about 28 to 35 mins to complete the 5 miles. Expect to be 6+ miles by end of 2016.

To get to the start, park at the Fort Bend Family YMCA, cross over Cartwright bridge to get to the east side of Oyster Creek, and then get to the north side of Cartwright and you'll find the trail. The trail travels north and south on the east side of Oyster Creek. It is an out and back trail.

Quail Valley to OC and back...trail wearing in very nicely! Enjoying the convenience of the trail, no more dodging angry walkers on paved OC trails 10.4mi — 0h 55m

What a nice little jewel here in Sugarland! Well designed and getting better with each ride. It's starting to get much more worn in (more compact/faster!). It's become my go-to after work ride as I can hit right from my front door in Missouri City. It's also a decent workout when ridden fast, you'll come out with 200+feet of climbing (darn impressive for Houston!) Dec 10, 2016

Pivot Cycles held their Demo this past Saturday at OC MTB Trails. It was great! Had about 60 test riders. Dec 14, 2016

OCMTB Trails is constantly going up and down. A great workout even for the fast guys. Flows really well. Feb 14, 2017
