“The Fountain Creek Regional Trail begins in southern Colorado Springs and ends in Fountain.”— Allen Tanner
The trail begins at El Pomar Youth Sports Park and connects to the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail, which connects higher to the New Santa Fe Regional Trail, which runs from Monument to Fountain.
The trail parallels Fountain Creek and continues as an easy, doubletrack, dirt trail which descends 200 feet over its entire length.
At mile 8, the trail passes through Fountain Creek Regional Park. It ends at an access road of I-25 in Fountain.
