Description

Part of the Pawtuckaway State Park system of trails, Boulder Trail takes you through a major bouldering/climbing area with cool rock formations.

Boulder Trail basically runs into Round Pond Rd at either end, and snakes around the northern edge of a small pond. The terrain is mostly intermediate, but you'll run into bouts of steep, technical rock sections and some rooty low-lying stuff. To the north along the trail you'll often see people climbing/bouldering, and it can be quite busy on the weekends, so watch your speed on this trail. Coming from the western end, about 1/3rd of the way along, look to your left just after passing through a major bouldering area to catch North Mountain Trail, if you're feeling stout!
