Description

Lower Mirkwood runs from Service Road 1900 to an intersection with Service Road 1000 and Service Road 1200, it intersects with Mordor at the two-thirds mark. The rolling terrain can be ridden in either direction.

From the south, climb away from the road and enter a dark forest that will get more scraggly as you pedal. This twisty singletrack tosses a lot of small challenges at riders like tight turns, bumps, roots, pedal grabbers, log lunges, and the occasional squeeze point. You'll either love or hate this demanding cross country.
