“This is HMBA's primary fund raising event and showcases the best trails in the Midwest!
— Paul Arlinghaus
Race - Oct 6, 2017
This is the full route for the 2016 Brown County Epic. This is not a race and most riders chose to cut off bonus loops to make for a shorter route. This allows everyone plenty of time to enjoy the sags, trails, and scenery. Completing the whole route in one day is very challenging.
Need to Know
This is HMBA's primary fundraiser. All proceeds go directly towards helping us build more trails.
The route uses the trails in the Brown County State Park
- IMBA Epic, Yellowwood State Forest, and Hoosier National Forest. The trails in Brown County State Park
are well know for being purpose built MTB trails with lots of flow. The trails in Yellowwood and Hoosier National Forest are more rugged, but reward riders with a real backcountry experience.
This Epic Ride is on Oct 8 and is part of the Brown County Epic Mountain Bike Festival (Oct 7 - 9). Demos, new trails, mtb clinics, bands, and Big Woods Beer all combine to make for an unforgettable day!
