Description

While not officially designated as a directional trail, this trail is certainly designed to be ridden downhill (east to west).

The Black Line is divided into three distinct segments, with short climbs in between. This trail is designed for advanced riders, but all features can be rolled and it is suitable for riders just learning how to jump or ride man-made features.

Segment 1 is a jump line. Bermed turns and tabletop jumps that get bigger as you go are the name of the game. Experienced riders will be able to ride this section with minimal or no use of the brakes before the short climb up to the top of Segment 2. It is possible to bail out to the Blue Trail or connect over to the Red Line to return to the top at this point.

Segment 2 has a different flavor, with the focus on quick, bermed turns and rollers rather than jumps. It ends with another short climb to reach the top of Segment 3, where it is possible to bail out to the Blue Trail.

Segment 3 begins with two options, both leading to rock-armored, step-down drops. The right option offers a smaller drop with a tight berm immediately following, while the left option allows for a larger and faster drop. As with all other features on this trail, either option can be rolled. In either case, the trails reconnect into a series of tabletop jumps, rollers, and berms before connecting back into the Blue Trail near the bottom.
