“A short, rooty singletrack/doubletrack off of Oak Trail.”
— Zachary Wagner
Part of the Hampstead Conservation system of trails, Oak Loop can be found by taking Lichen Trail
from the lot, then Oak Trail
, then connecting up with Oak Loop.
Oak Loop is a rooty section of double/singletrack trail with a few really short, relatively easy climbs. Coming from the more westerly entrance to Oak Trail
, you'll encounter the trail fork for Oak Loop a little before the halfway point of Oak Trail
. You'll head right at this point for Oak Loop, which will take you on a short excursion and bring you back around to meet back up with Oak Trail
