Description

Similar to Bond Creek #21, Hall Lake is another alpine route with amazing views and a spicy descent.

From Alpine Trail, the route descends steadily on challenging terrain near the east side of Hall Lake below Hall Peak. After the lake, the grade levels out for a short time and then ramps up again through a few long switchbacks.

From there, the trail wraps around the south flank of Hall Peak and drops into and crosses the Groom Creek drainage. The thick forest opens up a bit for the last part of the route to the trailhead.
