Description

The Claire Trail utilizes a portion of an old snowmobile/ATV trail before becoming a singletrack and ascending up towards the top of the Kovenator. The beginning of the Claire Trail is wide open and fast as it passes Wally. Heading downhill, you'll want to stay to the left, crossing a wet marshy area on rocky steps before turning left again and heading uphill.

From here, the trail climbs steadily over non-technical singletrack. Towards the end of the climb, you'll pass the exit for the Happy Trail Climb (also an easier descent for the Kovenator) and then the upper entrance for the Kovenator on your right before passing through the stonewall and under an archway. This trail can be ridden in either direction.
