Features -none-

Description

A mix of singletrack and doubletrack that connects the Underdown-Dells Trails to the Underdown Trail at the Octoberfest Loop - Trails T, TT, S & SS. Expect lots of curves and some hill climbing when heading north along the trail.

The trail goes through the pristine Underdown Recreation Area. This wild area is a mixture of conifers and hardwoods—expect to hear the drumming of ruffed grouse and the possibility of seeing other wildlife in the area.

There are plenty of scenic views along the way as the trail traverses the ridgeline between the Underdown Trail System and the Underdown-Dells Trail system.

We rode a short part of the Connector Trail at the south end of Underdown trails on our way home. It was out 4th day of riding and patience was thin so this may be a bit biased and we had been riding some great trails. We parked along R where we so a small bike trail sign and not at the mapped trailhead which we saw no sign for. The trails were rocky, tight and twisting, especially a section heading north along County R before we discovered the main trail heads west along R and then north. It was difficult to get a flow going. For the part we rode it was a tough and challenging but frustrating ride. Will have to try this again under better circumstances. Oct 27, 2018
