Muddy, Snowy, Some Mud: They posted on FB that trails are open to 3 inch tires and bigger. You still can’t cross the ski run History

Getting forecast...

A trail that has incredible flow with plenty of climbs, descents, twists, and turns.

Overview

Description

To access the trailhead, perpendicular to Highway D across from Townline Road, there is a gigantic sign you drive under to get to the resort. It says "Alpine Valley" in big red letters; it's impossible to miss. Follow this road until you see a blue sign that says "Mountain Bike Trail."

The sign points to a gravel maintenance road to the left. Follow this road. Don't be alarmed, you'll pass many maintenance shops and equipment before you reach the trailhead. This road ends in a large gravel lot with a few buildings. To the left of the buildings, there should be a self-pay station for trail passes. This is the area to park. From here, you can see the start of the singletrack that is marked by a "Mountain Bike Trail" sign you can ride under.

From the start, the trail is an ascending, leg-burning climb in the trees up the side of the ski hill. After you go around the excavation pit, miles of twists, turns, punchy climbs and fast descents await.

See their Facebook page for pictures, hours, and other information.

Someone put i. work to make this trail nice. One complaint: small trees on sides of trail should be removed in some sections to keep a nice flow. 7.2mi
