Family Friendly No rocks, big roots, or obstacles. It's easy to teach kids how to speed downhills and build their stamina and ability to climb them. There is a playground and picnic area inside the park.

A Dane County Trail Pass required; visitors can pay for a day or for the season by leaving the permit fee in the collection box.

Description

The Badger Prairie Mountain Bike Trail is a mixed use hiking and mountain biking mowed grass trail around the water tower in Badger Prairie Park in Verona, WI. There are two short sections of singletrack and plenty of fun, cyclo-cross style prairie riding with some great flowing hills and some stamina building climbing.

There is a very short loop that goes around the water tower and a couple of inner loops that go up and down the hill between the water tower and the pond. The trail drains very well and because it is grass; it is open when most other trails are closed after a rain.

There is a direct connection to Military Ridge State Trail, a park shelter with bathrooms, a playground, and a drinking fountain. This is a great trail for families and beginners.
