Overview

This course was created to be used to qualify potential participants in Colorado's Leadville 100 race.

On race day, 3 full laps of this route are ridden. Check out the website for details about the event.

Description

This is a very long loop that was designed to make for maximum distance on each lap. It includes singletrack, doubletrack, and right of ways along power lines and pipe lines. If you are training for distance events, this is a good route to make a regular workout. If you want to set a personal goal see how many laps you can ride in a day.

The race is also a qualifying event for the famous Leadville 100 race held in August of every year. While participation doesn't guarantee that you'll win an entry into Leadville, racers who complete all three laps in under 7 hours will be entered into a lottery, where 25-100 qualifying slots will be raffled off.
