Description

This trail allows you to access the CDT (Continental Divide Trail) from Highway 15 without having to traverse Twin Sisters. There is a small parking area just off Highway 15, near the entrance to Little Cherry Creek Road.

Alternatively, there are a few parking spots just as you enter the road. You can either do this trail as a robust climb or you can bomb down it from the CDT/Sawmill Trail junction.

The first part of this trail involves a relatively gentle climb along the road that includes multiple creek crossings. Depending on the time of the year and overall levels of precipitation, the creek may have more or less water flowing through it.

After trekking up the road, be on the lookout for where the singletrack departs the road. This section remains singletrack all the way to the junction and is associated with steep climbing and rocky, technical sections. Use caution when traversing this section and be prepared to do some "hike-a-bike" maneuvers.

Best shuttled to where the CDT crosses Signal Peak rd. Almost 7 miles of ripping singletrack with some tech and tight switchbacks thrown in! A lit… 6.9mi
