Description

Jones Trail can be used to access St. Joseph's Hill from Los Gatos or from Lexington Reservoir. From the Los Gatos side, go to the trailhead at the end of Jones Road. On the reservoir end, the trailhead is opposite the parking lot on Alma Bridge Road just to the southeast of the dam.

The Los Gatos side alternates moderate and steep climbing sections. From the Lexington side, the first climb is the very steep Cardiac Hill. Jones is all fire road with a bit of broken pavement on Cardiac Hill.

Roughly at the high point of Jones is the beginning of the Novitiate Trail which leads to the rest of the trails on St. Joseph's Hill.

A short climb and descent with some challenges. Mostly harmless with little steep spots. A challenge for novice riders. A great way to learn. Crowded!
