Update

A great division sorting start on doubletrack, then all fun on a forested singletrack.

Overview

No uphill on Homeward Bound from 9am - 5pm.
A great hour-long ride to get your legs pumping and satisfy your singletrack hunger.

Need to Know

Boulder Trail has some gnarly rocks that will want to rip a sidewall.

Description

This course starts down low under the bridge on doubletrack. Racers will head up Homeward Bound for the first approximate mile on a steady doubletrack road.

Before crossing Tidal Wave, the course heads up onto a steady, root-step filled singletrack of Homeward Bound, to the pond. Once at the pond, racers take the fence line up to the Homeward Bound doubletrack for a approx 200yrd hill climb, before turning right onto Sunset. Course follows Sunset until it pops out on the doubletrack Bald Mountain Trail dbl track then hops back down onto Road To Ruby.

After a quick roll on Road to Ruby (the part with the small table tops) - Course crosses through the Flagstaff Loop trail, staying straight on Road to Ruby. Course then, cross the Trump doubletrack road onto the lower entrance of Ontario Loop and head back down and up to the Trump doubletrack road back onto Flagstaff Loop until you get dumped out back onto Trump doubletrack by the bridge.

Next, climb Trump road to the top lift terminals and head down Boulder until it intersects with Gravel Road. Wind it down and enter onto the tight technical descent on Team Big Bear onto Mid Mountain Trail, heading back towards Silver Lake, with a finish at the base of Sterling Chairlift.
