A fire road connector from downtown Tahoe City to Burton Creek/Fiberboard Fwy.

S. Lengyel

Overview

Description

This is a basic Forest Road connector from downtown Tahoe City to Burton Creek State Park, the Fiberboard Freeway, and the connector trails to the TRT.

Overall, this is not terribly exciting, but it's better than a road burn to the Nordic Center. It is a commonly used connector for people doing longer rides to connect to the TRT/Missing Link and Mt. Watson.

The entrance off Bunker Drive is not readily apparent unless you are looking for it. It looks like a driveway with houses, except that there is a big brown USFS Forest Road sign tucked on the right about 100' up the road. Just continue up past the houses and the road turns to dirt about 1000' up the road. Enjoy!
