Rocky Creek Trail runs between Big Timber Creek and the crest of the Lemhi Mountain Range. The upper end of the trail passes in front of spectacular Yellow Peak.
This trail is most often ridden as a leg of a loop with Big Timber Creek Trail (#6183.1). If climbing Rocky Creek, know that it gains 2000' in almost five miles so you can expect to push between huffing, especially closer to the top. If descending Rocky Creek, the trail can be loose and rutted in spots but generally easy to follow and not too technical.
