Description

Lake Storey Trail System is made up of various singletrack loops, connected at times by paved bike paths or open grass sections. The trails traverse numerous drainages around the lake. They are tight and flowy with various wooden features added to keep things interesting. A large portion of LSTS traverses within feet of the lake edge, providing beautiful views while riding.

The park is open till midnight, so night riding is open all year long. Trails are meticulously maintained by a local group of riders all year long, regardless of season. They are built by mountain bikers, and used by riders and hikers alike. Trails are true singletrack, and built to be mountain bike trails. You can always bet the trails will be in great shape, and ready to rip!

Call the local bike shop, Ride & Run, for trail conditions and any questions you may have. Lastly, as with any trail, don't ride when it's wet!

A fun loop with a little bit of everything from old school log overs to fast and flowy sections with some ups and downs mixed in as well. A couple of confusing spots where trails intersect that more traffic and/or a little signage would fix. A nice local option without the drive to the QC or Peoria. Apr 24, 2016
This place is pretty fun. People are actively working on it and are doing a pretty great job. They have some rock gardens started and many wooden ladder type bridge things built and are working on more. One big ladder bridge going up and over a big down tree that looks awesome! I was by myself so I didn't try it but want to on my next trip. Big thank you to the people working on it! Aug 21, 2017
I have create a google map of the course, it not 100% accurate but you get the idea. I used an app Strava to get the GPS points then add that to the my google map. google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?… Oct 9, 2017
