A course rich in diverse terrain: from flat gravel speedways, to long climbs, to cobblestones & root

Adopt These Trails!

Overview

This was a fun course to race given its diversity: flat gravel doubletrack, challenging climbs, stone and root sections and rewarding downhill sections. From experience in the 2016 Shenanduro, the course drains well for the most part following heavy rains, but expect sections of mud along the way.
Family Friendly: Open to hikers and bikers alike. Camping and a sweet river nearby!
Dogs: Leashed

Need to Know

Shared by equestrians. Watch out for horse droppings!

Description

I built this by tracing a route on Google Earth over a drawing of the 2016 Shenanduro course; therefore, it's not exact. It does give a general idea of the routing and terrain combinations for the race.
