Day of registration only.
This is the longest running mountain bike race in the state of Iowa, covering 11 miles of Decorah singletrack.
Family Friendly: Kids race on River Trail before Time Trials.

Starting order is by registration order.

Registration opens at 10 am. Registration for kids race closes at 10:45 am. Adults closes at the finish of the kids race.

Description

The course starts at The Luge and heads to Death Valley up Rocky Road. Take a hard right before the first right on to the lower half of Little Bighorn. Continue past GT park, down the switchbacks to Horsey. Then, turn right down Horsey and turn left and go up Iowa Public Television to the service road.

From here, turn left and then left again onto Dust Bowl, heading back up to Horsey. Turn right onto Horsey, continuing uphill, and turn left back on to Upper Little Bighorn past the GT park. Follow this trail all the way back to the Shortcut to Fred or back to top of Prairie before Rocky Road. Turn right on Shortcut to Fred or back to top of Prairie, then right onto the first right trail that leads back to the Kiosk.

At this point, turn right onto Pines East heading counterclockwise until the trail comes out by an old fire pit. Then head down Gunnar, turning left onto Julia. On Julia, turn then left back down Gunnar to the service road. From the service road, take a right toward the Kiosk and then a left up North 40 back to the service road.

Turn right and head up the service road to The Prairie, where you stay right to the top of hill. On the top of the hill turn left and then turn right onto Pines West. Follow Pines West until the end, then make a hard right onto The Prairie trail doubletrack, and follow it all the way back to the northwest corner of Pines West. Make a hard left down the hill to Fred, turn right down Fred, and head back to Death Valley.

From Death Valley, head up New Randy's, to Backside, turning right onto Cross Country and come out on top of Old Randy's. Take the first right onto Upper Ice Cave back to Upper Mother's Day. Enter onto Upper Mother's Day and take to the end. Continue straight and through the short loop onto Middle Mother's Day all the way down, where you turn left and follow back up to Lower Mother's Day.

Continue up past Glory Hole and Pasche's Path up to the top of Upper Ice Cave where you turn right and then right again onto Doug's Trail. Follow Doug's Trail back towards Backbone. Turn left on Captain's, and follow it to the end. Here, turn right then right again down Backside. Turn right on Upper Backside - Some technical obstacles and a steep descent, and down to Rattle Snake Cave, where you'll across the road and finish using the River Trail.
