Description

This 3.5-mile trail is for hikers, equestrians, and mountain-bike riders. Parking at the horse trailer lot allows for the easiest trail access. When it's wet, horse traffic can make for some mud holes. Ride the trail clockwise for a decent downhill midway through the ride.

The trail is not as root-laden as a lot of heavy-use Charlotte-area trails - although at the highest part, there are quite a bit of quartz stones on the trail, most softball-sized. There are two connectors, blue and orange, that can be used to make a longer, figure-eight route that is closer to 4 miles.

There is a loop South of Cane Creek Lake that is also marked with red blazes. That loop is 1.5 miles in length.
