Family Friendly Short and easy. There is another spur trail that is closed to bikes and horses that goes to another beaver pond for wildlife viewing.

Description

The north end of this trail starts at the south end of the RC field. It is well marked and easy to find. The south end starts part-way up a hill from the south on Pope Service Road 1000. The south entrance is easy to miss if you're not looking for it.

Taking the trail from south to north, it goes up and down with relatively gentle grades. The first half is through a forest with a mature canopy and little-to-no undergrowth. This is a very pleasant trail with the downhill portions being quite a lot of fun.

Be ready for a short, but steep drop that ends with a hard right turn onto a skinny bridge that heads over a beaver pond. This trail is "intermediate" because of that bridge. Aside from the bridge, it's an easy trail.

The second half, after the bridge, takes you through a more open canopy forest mainly going uphill to the RC field.
