An awesome descent from the Monarch Crest trail. If you don't have all day to do the Crest trail, this is an amazing alternative. The start is a bit loose but it quickly turns into a beautiful rip roaring descent. Everything from technical rocky sections, to super fast tacky flowing single track, and it feels like it never ends! The road leading out to Highway 50 at the bottom is actually pretty fun as well, almost all downhill and fast. Hop on the highway and it's actually a pretty easy ride back to the 285/50 junction. Top descent is steep and rowdy. Mid section is awkward and pretty damn technical. Lower section mellows out and flows. If your gonna pedal the loop, take a hard left at the powerlines and go up a old dirt road back to the Crest. Don't down all the way to the highway and pedal up. Its a busy narrow road! Oct 8, 2018
