Description

The section between Bunker Road and the junction with Bobcat Trail is flat then starts climbing in the northerly direction; gradually at first then becoming steeper as it winds its way to the top of the ridge. There are views over the Gerbode Valley to the east, but most riders will be focusing on the trail a few feet beyond their front tire. Generally smooth, there are some rockier and rutted sections near the ridge top. The trail levels off briefly before the junction with Old Springs Trail. Beyond the junction, Miwok is hiker/horse only.

Downhill riders only need to watch for climbers plodding their way up.

Another "Road" that is not a trail. This is is full of ruts from run off so there's some challenges at least to try to keep your wheel out of the ruts, but otherwise it's another boring road. Jan 25, 2018
