Description [Suggest Changes]

One of the best single tracks near the city. This area is very popular with hikers, dog walkers bikers and horse lovers. This route is a perfect 1 hour loop which is very fun and relaxing. I like to start out at the lower parking lot and work my way up to the mansion. There is a nice limestone road you can take to the mansion which is a nice warm up. From the top, you can hit the red blaze behind the large white tent and loop into the blue blaze which will have you cross a few streams and experience some very nice flow. I head back up after the blue blaze and hit the purple blaze. There is some epic grade here and you have to hike-bike up it since the leaves are really slippery during this time of year. The white blaze is nice off the red but can be bit sketchy when there are a lot of leaves hiding rather big rocks. Hartwood is a great place to explore and can make you feel your much farther away from the city than you are. Highly recommended.
