Update

A strenuous climb from the trailhead to the peak of Mount Lukens with the optional bailout.

Chauncey Mize

Description

Starting at the trailhead, you'll begin your climb up Haines Canyon toward Mount Lukens. At the creek washout, stay right and you'll find yourself climbing the Haines Lookout. From here, continue the climb on winding footpaths leading all the way up to Mount Lukens peak.

You'll have plenty of loose gravel, rocks, and even boulders to traverse while maintaining your pace on this steep climb! When you get to the 4.5 mile mark, you can take the bailout, or continue the climb for another 1.5 miles to the peak and take in some fantastic views before descending! Keep the rubber side down!!
