Description

From the Oldenberg Lake Trail #45 junction, the trail climbs up through the forests on the eastern slope of the Cascades towards the crest. It passes Darlene and Suzanne (Lakes) before the junction with the Windy Lakes Trail #50.

Past Windy Lakes Trail #50, the trail descends to the junction with the Meek Lake Trail #43 and continues north-westerly to Summit Lake. The latter section from the Meek Lake Trail #43 to Summit Lake is fairly smooth with few obstacles.

Approaching this from the east side and using the driving directions will lead you to a dead end unused fire road. Either drive up a 4wd trail off of NF60 to summit lake or approach from the west to get there with more ease. Unfortunately due to timing and vehicle I couldn't make it all the way. around.
