Description

The terrain here is complex with lots of tight turns and sharp technical sections. The trail surface is a mixture of sand, dirt, rocks, and stumps. There are some fun, steep sections that are very technical.

Generally people ride the Dead Dog Loop in a clockwise direction. Watch for a sharp drop-off just before you reach the doubletrack in the northeastern portion of the trail. It has a wooden ramp in place, but the feature can sneak up on you if you're not paying attention.

At the current southern terminus of this trail, you'll be back on a doubletrack road for another hundred yards or so. Head back to the north to get back to Ben's Switcback's or look for a new trail being constructed on the spine to the south.
