This dirt road is open to all forms of recreation (including motorized). It descends from Laurel Ridge Road before climbing to the Kentucky Trailhead. After the trailhead, it passes a junction with the Miller Branch Trail (horse trail) and undulates with a net descent to its terminus at mile 4.8.
