This trail is used for official races, including Danish Nationals. The trail starts from the shooting range, rhusvej 60 because this is the only black section so far. We will build more black sections elsewhere in Nordskoven during the fall 2015, and early 2016. We recommended following the red track afterwards when the track ends, if you want to continue the tour of Nordskoven.
On top of the "Serpentiner" on Blt Spor, the track splits into the blue (left) and black (straight ahead). Here the fun begins.
The track runs on top of the slope and quickly goes down and up on an old singletrack before breaking right out on the edge of the cliff. Here you'll meet first "Devil's Drop 1", then a worn, root-filled singletrack before again falling over the edge of "Devil's Drop 2" a deep, worn, and winding groove that has scared the life out of many a rider.
After struggling up the hill, the fun continues about 100m downhill until you cross a small bridge and come out on the gravel road "Rvebakken." Here you'll turn left and follow first the dirt road for about 100m, then turn over to the side on a singletrack, that climbs steeply.
Here you can get a little air on the flat portion through the high beech forest before the track meanders between closer firs and then out on the tip of the ridge. From here the trail drops to the right into a wash, breaks left, and continues along a number of drops with roots. It is ONLY for experienced riders!
At the bottom, you'll cross and attack the steep climb. After a 180-degree left turn, continue straight where the most worn track breaks 180-degrees to the right. The following incline is hard and the track is not very commonly used, but is easy to follow to the top.
Here, it becomes difficult! Follow the GPS track or use the
MTB Project mobile app to navigate the almost invisible traces of "DH descent." Once there was a free flow and speed all the way down, but there is now a toppled tree and grass standing near the track, so please descend carefully. However, keep an eye on the two rather large jumps, which, especially the first, requires excellent technical skills.
At the bottom, you'll turn left two times. And after approximately 50m turn left up the "Stairway To Heaven." On the top, you'll continue into the forest and after approximately 400m comes a technical descent among dense trees before rejoining with Blt Spor.
