“A loop of the Strathcona Science Provincial Park, including Sunridge Ski Area.
”
Family Friendly
An easy trail centered around a large city park.
The south end and walking paths are open all year, but the north half is a ski area during the winter, and wouldn't be much fun to ride anyway
Description
Start at north parking lot of Strathcona Science Provincial Park, near the Sunridge Ski Area. Head south on the paved paths, ducking in and out of dirt singletrack as you wish. At the southern end of the park, cross the valley and head west through the ravine. This section is fairly technical with some short but steep hills throughout.
Turn back north when you reach the river and enjoy nice dirt singletrack all the way back to the north end of the park. Turn up where you wish and head back to the parking lot, or for a real challenge, ride up the ski hill under the ski lifts.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
