Description

The trailhead for Uplands and Hummocks is found just across the S Fork on Aspen Leaf Drive, about 1/2 mile from Town Center. These two short loops combine for a nice cruise or after work training session. Both trails meander through open meadows and trees with views to the Spanish Peaks and Lone mountain. They are commonly used by walkers and runners as well, so watch your speed in the corners and yield the trail to foot traffic.

Hummocks is just over 2.5 miles in length, beginning on rolling terrain from the trailhead, transitioning to a more steady climb on the upper loop portion forming a lollipop. The recommended direction of travel on the upper loop is counterclockwise, and the trail becomes more rocky on this loop, before rejoining the silky smooth lower portion for return to the trailhead. Look for a small loop on return to your right shortly before the end.
